Prior to this position, James worked as an Associate Attorney at the Children’s Law Center of California, where he served as a trial attorney in child dependency cases. His responsibilities included full case management from initial detention hearings through trial and resolution, focusing on zealous advocacy for abused children and families battling governmental overreach. With a caseload of over 250 clients, James demonstrated his dedication to serving vulnerable populations within the legal system.

James earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University.
