PETITION FOR STEP-PARENTS OF US CITIZEN
US Citizens can petition their step-parents the same way they can petition their natural parent. However, the step-parent and the natural parent must have been married before the US Citizen child turned 18 years of age. The US Citizen step-child must be 21 years of age or above to be able to petition a step parent.
